Line One : Foot along Maoer Mountain—Walk on the Summit of South
As one of the five Ridges , Maoer Mountain goes across Xinan, Ziyuan and Longsheng county. With the altitude of 2141.5meters, it is named for its cat shape. It is not only the highest peak in Guangxi Province, but also the highest in southern China, which is known as “the Top of Five Ridge, the Summit of South China”. The majestic mountains , deep valleys ,swift streams are the birthplace of Li River, Zi River and Xun River. It sets Mt Tai’s majesty, Mt Hua’s risk, Mt Lu’s peace and Mt Emei’s pretty in it . It has abundant flora and fauna resources there , the climate is unique ,too. It is said that “ There are four seasons along the mountain and different scenery between each ten miles.” The spectacular views and beautiful legends attract many people to explore this mountain. It takes about 8 hours to climb the mountain, the peak is a mature tourist attraction, there has considerate service facilities for meals and lodging.
Line two : Walk along the Ancient Trade Route of Hunan and Guangxi—Listen to the Footstep of History
This is a “Southern Silk Road” frozen up by the history . Thousands of years , there is a ancient land trade route along Lingchuan, Xinan, Quanzhou and Xiangnan , which is known as Trade Route of Hunan and Guangxi. It had has flourished for 500 years for the poor water transport between Xiang River and Li River; then it was forgotten gradually for the building of convenient railways . From Raoshan to Gaoshang, it keeps one part of “Hunan and Guangxi Channel” well because its remote location. Then it don’t disseminated by the modern civilization . The villages along the route still exist the antiquity and adhere the tranquil live . If you like the natural landscape and unpolished folk , this is a good line for you .
Line three: Walk on the Tiansheng Bridge—the Magical Journey in Source of Xiangjiang
Located in the three kilometers south to Baishi township ,and in the depression of source of Xiangjiang , it belongs to the typical karst landscape. The Tainsheng Bridge in Baishi is unique in the world , there are four Tiansheng Bridges together within one kilometer. It is magnificent and it owns characteristics of “ grand, strange, dangerous, pretty and quiet:. There are Shanggui Gorge, well-preserved Ming Dynasty Ancient Villages around . Meanwhile , it is the hometown of biloba, the fall scenery is brilliant. Walking on the Tiansheng Bridge is a leisure route suitable for beginner to practice hiking and camping skills.
Line Four: Walk on the Zhenbao Peak—Enjoy Wonders on the Yuecheng Ridge
Zhenbao Peak , main peak of Yuecheng Ridge, is located between Quanzhou and Ziyuan , it has an altitude of 2123.4 meters second only the Maoer Mountain. In the south of it , there are 13 lakes with the average altitude of 1600 meters, because of the high mountain ,they are named as Heaven Lake. Seeing lake from the mountain , you will be amazed at the spectacular scenery . In the fine day , you can see the Maoer Mountain and Xinan ,Ziyuan county. Then you will get a feel of compressed time and space.
Line five : Walk on the Baoding Mountain –Pilgrim’s Journey
Located between Quanzhou County and Ziyuan County, the Baoding Mountain is the famous tourist mountain in north Guilin since ancient time. It is also the Buddhist resort , there is Kule Buddhist convent built half the mountain . Temples on the mountain are still filled with strong incense, you will often encounter on the trails of pilgrims and monks and nuns. The vision on the peak is very broad, the scenery of whole county is in your eyes when it is a fine day.
